나라에서 활동하고 있습니다.
2월 21일 오후 1시(현지시간) 한국 구세군 홍보대사 바리톤 정 경(Claudio Jung) 교수는 영국 런던에 위치한 구세군 국제본부 본영 IHQ(International Headquarters)에서
자선 콘서트를 펼쳤는데요. 제17대 세계 구세군
대장을 역임 한 존 라슨 (John Larsson)이 참석하며, 그가
작곡한 ‘누군가 돌보네(Someone Cares)’를 마지막
곡으로 불러 감동을 자아냈습니다.
특히 이번음악회에서 대한민국 문화 중 19번째로 유네스코
인류무형문화유산으로 등재에 성공한 ‘제주해녀’ 헌정가 ‘바다를 담은 소녀’를 선보이며 대한민국 여성의 강인함과 아름다움을
국제적으로 알리는데 기여했습니다. 이 곡은 정 경 교수가 작사, A. Aldo가
작곡했으며 제주 해녀를 표현하는 무용가 이은선 교수와 함께 이번 무대를 꾸며 많은 관객들의 박수갈채를 받았습니다.
Recently, renowned baritone singer Claudio Jung visited The Salvation Army's International Headquarters in London. Alongside a career as a classical performer, Jung represents our organisation in Korea.
During his time in this role, he has discovered the music of Generals John Gowans and John Larsson (both former international leaders) and has been deeply moved by the words and tunes. On this latest visit to the UK, he was able to meet his 'hero' General Larsson and spend time in conversation with him.
Jung was also able to present the Gowans/Larsson song ‘Someone Cares‘ to an audience made up of staff and members of the public – as well as General Larsson himself.
It is wonderful to see Salvation Army music reaching new audiences all the time, and we pray that it will continue to bless those who hear it.
